Considered a senior synonym of Misgolas, Karsch, 1878 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:00086] (type species M. rapax Karsch, 1878), which itself considered a senior synonym of Hermeas Karsch, 1878 (type species H. crispus Karsch, 1878), Dyarcyops Hogg, 1902 (type species D. andrewsi Hogg, 1902) and Megalosara Rainbow, 1914 (type species M. villosa Rainbow, 1914) by Main, 1985a: 33; Misgolas is not a senior synonym of Cantuaria Hogg, 1902 (Raven & Wishart, 2006: 545, contra Raven, 1985a: 150, 175); Misgolas transferred to Idiopidae from Ctenizidae by Raven, 1985a: 138.
