Genus comment: A. Chamberlin & Ivie, 1943: 16, type A. fragilis Chamberlin & Ivie, 1943 N.B. Not a senior synonym of Fusciphantes Oi, 1960 (Saaristo, Tu & Li, 2006: 387, contra Oi, 1964: 23, but see also Tanasevitch, 2010d: 269 and Nakano et al., 2017: 333). The new species described in Nakano et al., 2017 are assigned to the Arcuphantes longiscapus species group and therefore included in the genus Fusciphantes, which is not synonymyzed. See note on nomen nudum Otunus above.
