Genus comment: F. Oi, 1960a: 199, type F. longiscapus Oi, 1960 N.B.: Removed from the synonymy of Arcuphantes Chamberlin & Ivie, 1943 by Saaristo, Tu & Li, 2006: 387, contra Oi, 1964: 23 (but see Tanasevitch, 2010d: 269 and Nakano et al., 2017: 333). The new species described in Nakano et al., 2017 are assigned to the Arcuphantes longiscapus species group and therefore included in the genus Fusciphantes, which is not synonymyzed.
