Wiehle, 1956: 272, type Stylophora dorsalis (Wider, 1834); N.B.: considered valid by Millidge, 1984b: 241, and Merrett, Locket & Millidge, 1985: 399, contra Ivie, 1969: 64 (who considered it a subgenus of Bathyphantes Menge, 1866) and Millidge, 1977: 46 (who considered it a junior synonym of Cresmatoneta Simon, 1929); see note under Bathyphantes anceps.
