Genus comment: S. Gertsch & Davis, 1946: 7, type Lepthyphantes longispinosus O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1902; considered a senior synonym of Palaeolinyphia Wunderlich, 1986: 83, type P. flagellifera Wunderlich, 1986 (from Dominican amber) by Platnick, 1993c: 349 because of Wunderlich's transfer of L. longispinosus to Palaeolinyphia.
