N.B.: Considered a junior synonym of Sternodes Butler, 1929 (preoccupied in the Coleoptera by Fischer-Waldheim, 1837 and in the Hymenoptera by Stefani, 1891) by Moran, 1986: 91 and thus having priority over the superfluous replacement name Sternoides Platnick, 1998: 226. Genus transferred from Zodariidae to Sternodidae by Moran, 1986: 91. Synonymy of Malkara (Murphy & Roberts, 2015: viii) not sufficiently justified and is not accepted here.
