N.B.: Transferred from the Liocranidae to the Corinnidae by Bosselaers & Jocqué, 2002: 265, to Phrurolithidae by Ramírez, 2014: 343. For some American taxa assigned to this genus by early authors and Lehtinen, 1967: 263, see Scotinella Banks, 1911, judged valid by Kaston (1972) and later authors. None of the New World species currently placed in Phrurolithus actually belong to that genus (Platnick, 2019: 4).
